As demand for Bigleaf continues to grow, we’ve made a number of strategic investments to better align our sales and marketing efforts to support our current and future growth. As the needs of our channel partners have grown, we’ve responded and will continue to adapt to best serve our existing and future partners across the ecosystem.
First off, we’re increasing investment in our next big strategic market: service providers. Service providers play a large and important role in our overall go-to-market strategy. We have fantastic existing service provider partners and an even larger ecosystem hungry for the kind of technology solutions we’ve built for them. John Hogan, who built our channel program from the ground up, will lead this exciting new effort for us as our vice president of business development. There is a lot of opportunity in the service provider market for a company like ours with the technology we offer to provide value to customers. When we looked at what it would take to maximize our potential, we quickly saw the need for a leader with a track record of building out a world class program. John has already done that for us once. We know he’s the best person to do it again here.
Second, we took a big step forward recently by hiring Shawn Sands to lead sales across all of our channels as Bigleaf’s senior vice president of sales. Shawn was part of an intense and exhaustive search process for this critical role. He has a tremendous amount of experience selling into and supporting customers across agent and service provider channels. Shawn’s background scaling other companies of our size will play a vital role in the future success of Bigleaf. Shawn has held leadership positions at local leaders such as Tripwire and iovation, and more recently, with companies headquartered outside of Oregon such as Tenable and Corelight.
These moves follow the promotion of Eric Brooker to vice president of our agent partner channel, working hand-in-hand with Bigleaf’s master agent partners around the world. As well as Andrew Bagnato as senior director of our managed service provider partner program.
